Habitat Home Dedications in 2008

Dedication of Homes Built for Home Builders Blitz 2008

On Saturday, October 25, we dedicated the five homes built by the Triangle Builders Guild.

The 29 home builders who make up the guild donated their expertise and gathered contributions of materials and labor from vendors and subcontractors to build five homes in one week for Home Builders Blitz 2008.

First Home in Affiliate's History in Knightdale

On August 23, Habitat friends welcomed our first homeowner partner family in Knightdale. The Young Agents Committee of the Independent Insurance Agents of North Carolina sponsored Wanda's home. They sought out Habitat Wake for our central location so that as many members of the state-wide association could be a part of this exciting project.

To raise the sponsorship funding, the young agents appealed to the thousands of members of the association. With donations from the members, they fully funded the house and won a national award for their commitment and success.

IIANC treated everyone to ice cream!
