Habitat for Humanity of Wake County is pleased to announce the election of five new members to our Board of Directors. Please join us in welcoming Matt Birckhead (Sir Water Chevrolet), MaryBurr Edwards (Fonville Morisey Realty), Richard Gephart (Gephart Building Company), Reverend Dr. Jeffrey B. Robinson (Juniper Level Missionary Baptist Church), and David Stewart (Elliot Davis).
Matt Birckhead has served as the Dealer Principal and Vice President at Sir Walter Chevrolet for over 11 years, driving significant growth in sales and customer satisfaction. He is an alumnus of University of Virginia and the National Automobile Dealers Association Dealer Academy. Matt currently serves as President of the Wake County Auto Dealers Association as well as a member of the North Carolina Auto Dealers Association. Beyond his professional endeavors, Matt is deeply committed to his family and faith. His contributions to the automotive industry and his commitment to his family and faith make him a respected figure in both his professional and personal circles.
MaryBurr Edwards is a Raleigh native celebrating 10 exciting years in real estate. She currently ranks in the top 2.4% of all Triangle Realtors. Over the last three years her sales with Fonville Morisey Realty have exceeded $44,000,000. She has listed 34 homes that sold for 99.7% of the asking price in an average of 16.4 days and assisted 31 families in the purchase of their home. She hopes to help more incredible families find their homes and futures through Habitat Wake.
Richard Gephart was born and raised in the small town of Rhinebeck, NY. He graduated from the University of Tennessee in 1995 with a degree in Wood Science and began working for the Weyerhaeuser Company as a Quality Control Specialist. Richard moved to Raleigh in 1999 to pursue his passion for building. He obtained his NC General Contractors' License as well as his Home Inspection License and Real Estate Brokers License. In 2000, he and a good friend Martin Hill formed Gephart Hill Properties & Construction. They renovated many distressed properties and built beautiful new homes, winning multiple Parade of Homes awards. Gephart Building Company continues that passion for building in the Triangle and Coastal areas.
Reverend Dr. Jeffrey B. Robinson has as served as the senior pastor at Juniper Level Missionary Baptist Church since 2013. In guiding the congregation through significant spiritual, financial and numerical growth, Reverend Robinson oversaw the renovation of the historic Rosenwald school and the acquisition of land for construction of Juniper Level’s new church. Rev. Robinson has been an educator with the NC Community College System for over 27 years. His extensive community involvement includes founding youth programs, a food bank, and international mission work. Dr. Robinson holds degrees from several institutions, including a D. Min. from Andersonville Theological Seminary. He is also a U.S. Marine Corps veteran and a member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc.
David Stewart is a CPA, ABV and ASA with over 15 years of experience in business valuation and litigation support consulting. In addition to his work in valuation and litigation support, David leads the tax team for the Raleigh market, where he works closely with attorneys in estate and fiduciary income tax matters. Prior to joining Elliott Davis, David attended the Leadership Development Program of a large regional bank and advised families in personal trust, wealth management, and financial planning. He holds credentials from American Society of Appraisers, North Carolina State University, and the University of North Carolina.
