Just ask Leah and Jonathan — assistant managers at our Brier Creek and Durham ReStores. Not only are these two married and proud new parents, but they also took home a win in last year’s staff Halloween costume contest - a true ReStore dream team!
The love doesn’t stop there! April, our VP of Finance, keeps things running smoothly at the Raleigh office, while her husband, Mike, manages the Durham ReStore. (Bonus: one of their daughters is on staff over at Orange County's Habitat affiliate — talk about a Habitat family!)
Then there’s Ellie and Vinny, who first met during their AmeriCorps year. Now, Ellie serves as our Director of Construction, and she and Vinny have built a life together including their two wonderful young children.
Of course, love isn’t just found behind the scenes — it’s out on the build sites too! We’ve seen countless meet-cutes and long-time couples spending quality time together volunteering. But nothing tops the ultimate Habitat love story: a 2018 on-site marriage proposal!
