ReStore

At the Triangle ReStores, reducing, reusing and recycling is the name of the game. Our ten area stores carry a wide variety of gently used home goods, furniture, tools and more. By donating those items that you no longer use, you are helping divert an estimated 5,000 tons of usable items from landfills annually, while also giving your stuff a second life! That is the ultimate win-win situation.

There is no party like a ReStore Party! We are celebrating our THIRTIETH Anniversary of our first ReStore opening. Here are some of the tunes that have helped us get our celebration started: 

The finishing touches are complete to the retail showroom and donation facility for the newest ReStore operated by Habitat for Humanity of Wake County. The new Glenwood Avenue location in west Raleigh opened in December, making it the sixth ReStore location in Wake County, joining locations in Raleigh, Apex, Cary, Fuquay-Varina, and Wake Forest.

Last Saturday was the long-anticipated opening of our second ReStore, located at 181 High House Road in Cary.  It was a great occasion with speeches, ribbon cutting, balloons, and lots of eager customers. For us, ReStore has a three fold mission:  1)  Assist families in securing low-cost products to upgrade their own dwellings   2)  Raise funds for Habitat for Humanity’s mission to provide simple, decent, affordable housing for those in need  and 3) to promote re-use of products rather than discarding them to landfills.
