Join us for ice cream with GoTriangle

We are pleased to share an opportunity for Habitat homeowners and supporters to learn more about our local bus system!

On Wednesday, May 2 from 4:30 - 6:30 pm in Crosstowne (980 Skinner Drive) GoTriangle and GoRaleigh will share plans for expanding the bus routes in Raleigh and Wake County. This is an opportunity for the community to weigh in on route choices and bus stop locations.

In addition, GoTriangle will cover the basics of using public transportation for new bus riders and event attendees will have a chance to climb on a bus for demonstration.

To RSVP, please contact Rachel Zeitler, advocacy manager at Habitat Wake, at 919-744-2424 or rachel.zeitler@habitatwake.org.

Affordable housing and public transit go hand in hand.
For families needing affordable housing, it can be difficult to find a place to live near employment, shopping, and amenities because those locations often cost more. Accessibility to public transit results in greater economic opportunities for residents and can reduce transportation expenses, significantly improving a household’s financial situation.
