Grifols, a global healthcare company dedicated to improving people’s health and well being through the development of life-saving plasma medicines, diagnostics systems, and hospital pharmacy products, is partnering with Habitat Wake as a Platinum Hammer Sponsor. Grifols presented a $65,000 sponsorship check to Habitat Wake August 21 at the site of Marian Ouma's future home in Maybrook Crossings. Grifols employees are working alongside Marian and her family and other volunteers to build the home.
“Habitat Wake is grateful for Grifols’ generous investment in our work, and for their partnership as we build a new, affordable home for Marian Ouma and her sons,” said Kevin Campbell, President/CEO of Habitat Wake. “Home ownership will provide stability for Marian and help position her children for long-term success. We believe this process will be transformational for this family and the Grifols employees who help build the home, and we appreciate Grifols providing this opportunity for everyone who shares in the process.”
Grifols is a global healthcare company with nearly 13,200 employees in over 100 countries. Habitat Wake was selected as a non-profit partner because its mission closely aligns with Grifols’ company values.
“This partnership provides a great opportunity to engage our employees in community outreach efforts, promote teamwork within our departments and provide an environment to learn new skills, said Lori Antieau, Grifols Inc, Vice President of North American Human Resources Operations. We wholeheartedly support the mission of Habitat for Humanity and are grateful to serve our neighboring community in this manner.”
Simultaneously, Grifols volunteers also are constructing a Habitat home in Los Angeles, where it has its corporate office and one of its manufacturing facilities.
